Hello!

New update for Gloria Victis has just been released! This week’s patch introduces two new locations - the last stand forts of each nation in which a brand new world event takes place. If any nation will dominate other one, their goal will be to burn houses in enemy fort, while opposing faction will have to defend their property. In order to implement this event we have added new event mechanics based on interaction with environment. An update also introduces redesigned Order of the Original Faith's Keep, sabotage events taking place on enemy farms and mines and numerous improvements.

Gameplay:

- Redesigned the Order of the Original Faith's Keep
- Added 2 new locations - forts near main towns which are the last line of defense when a nation is dominated
- Introduced new type of events which bases on interaction with environment
- Introduced new type of world event: The Last Stand, which takes place when one nation is dominated and doesn't control any flag included in siege event; goal of the attackers is to sabotage defenders by setting specific buildings on fire; event starts 30 minutes after capturing all flags by one nation and as well as the dungeon event, it won’t launch
- Added new sabotage events located in farms and mines, using new interaction mechanics
- Removed HP and stamina regeneration when swimming
- Added icon of the player’s nation in Glory window
- Added transparent preview of upgradable objects which is displayed with building upgrade panel

Fixes:

- Fixed an issue allowing to finalize looting enemy after getting killed
- Fixed an issue causing occasional problems with finding proper neighbours in Glory window
- Fixed an issue causing that arrows were disappearing from buttons in building upgrade panel

– Restored Mining and Metallurgy workshops at the Order of the Original Faith's Keep and Lord’s Wrath Abbey
– Fixed position of the Villager’s Workshops at the Lord’s Wrath Brotherhood
– Restored a missing wall section at the Order of the Original Faith's Keep
– Added minimap icon to the Quartermaster of the Lord's Wrath Brotherhood
– Removed remaining workshops and merchants from the original location of the Lord’s Wrath Abbey
– Restored Ludwig the monk at the Order of the Original Faith's Keep
– Fixed an issue causing the Last Stand event to send a wrong message to the dominating faction occasionally
– Fixed an issue causing Harlan the Tailor at the Order of the Original Faith's Keep to offer Ismirean assortment when location was controlled by Midlanders
– Fixed an issue of sabotage vents causing that each nation could destroy crates
– Fixed an issue causing that amount experience earned for completing events was significantly reduced

I honestly think Gloria should just have partial looting system like Tibia had. Dice roll for a armor piece you'll lose, and everything in your bags(inventory slots) you lose.

I feel this addresses logistical issues we currently face, with points and time able to loot.

I also feel is addresses the elephant in the room where people want loot.

It gives everyone some loot, doesn't debilitate players due to loss, enacts the proper amount of fear of death, and as I said, addresses logistical issues. I.e. with this system, a loot bag just drops, and players don't have to wait a certain amount of time to respawn, and no one needs to hurry up in the middle of a fight.

Saw something about loot in the notes, been thinking about this for a while.

Current system is just..a headache for the devs, cumbersome for the players, and has potential for numerous bugs.

Partial loot system is simple, straight forward, and easy to implement. (Dice rolls)
