Performance tips
This is a short guideline to help you increase your performance in Gloria Victis. There are few steps which you can do:

Integrated video card

One of the most frequent reasons of performance issues is running the game using integrated video card. It happens automatically on specific configurations, like notebooks with switchable graphics processors. If it happens, you will be informed about it by a message displayed in the main menu: [Image: gv_integrated_card.jpg]

Preferred graphics processor

First, set gv.exe to run automatically with your dedicated video card. If you are using Nvidia card, click RMB on your desktop and click “NVIDIA control panel”.

Go to “Program Settings” tab in the “Manage 3D settings” section and select gv.exe from the programs list [1]. If gv.exe is not visible in this list, click “Add” icon [2] to the right and find gv.exe in the installation folder. Now click “Select the preferred graphics processor for this program” [3] and select “High-performance NVIDIA processor” [4]. Now apply the changes.

You can also select the high-performance video card by clicking RMB on the gv.exe file. Next hover your cursor over “Run with graphics processor” line and select your dedicated video card, i.e.

Image settings

Go to “Adjust image settings in preview” in the “3D settings” tab in NVIDIA control panel. Select “Use my preference emphasizing:” option and set it to performance.

Power management

Go to “Global Settings” tab in the “Manage 3D settings” in NVIDIA control panel. Select the “Power management mode” and set it to “Prefer maximum performance”.

Now go to Settings ––> System. Click Power & Sleep [1] and select “Advanced power settings” [2].

Now select the “High performance” power plan [3]. Next click “Check plan settings” [4] to open the Power Options and make sure that the Maximum Processor State is set to 100%.

Exclamation  RE: Performance tips - Seems to be a mistake in these tips
I am pretty sure there is a mistake.

The above suggest to select, in the tab “Adjust image settings in preview”, “Use my preference emphasizing" Performance in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

But this means you forego the ability to manually “Manage 3D settings” in the Control Panel, and therefore that tip lets the NVIDIA automated settings do the job. Yet, in the same post, it is suggested to add the game to “Manage 3D settings” and select “Prefer maximum performance” for Power, etc.

This tip can just confuse some people in selecting the automated NVIDIA settings, which will generally flush the previous settings you may have selected for various games.

The proper choice then, under the NVIDIA “Adjust image settings in preview” is "Use the advanced 3D image settings". You then make the best choices in the Global 3D Settings and I add a profile for Gloria Victus. Correct me if I am wrong.
